Introducing “The 10 Easy Steps To Owning A Dorsey Family Home.”

Or How To Take The Stress Out Of Buying Your New Home.

Buying a new home is a big decision, maybe the biggest one you’ll ever make. At Dorsey Family Homes we want your home buying experience to go smoothly. With so much to worry about, a little help can go a long way towards making that happen. That’s why we’ve created “The Ten Easy Steps To Owning A Dorsey Family Home.” These ten easy steps are designed to take the stress out of buying your Dorsey Family Home.

  1. Once you’ve selected the perfect home site and Dorsey Family model that best suits your needs, we will arrange a one-on-one appointment to review our basic Contract For Sale.

  2. The Contract meeting is designed to secure the home site of your choice and finalize the sale price of your home. You’ll be required to bring a deposit of $10,000 to the Contract meeting to accomplish this.

  3. Prior to the Contract appointment we will review your financing options and provide you our Preferred Lender’s contact information. You can review your loan options with our lender and determine the amount of the down payment to make based on your home’s sales price and learn how to lock in the most favorable mortgage interest rate available. Loan interest rates can vary from day-to-day and by the amount of the loan, so locking in the most favorable rate is important.

  4. After the Contract is signed a Dorsey Family Homes representative will work with you during the first 30 days to finalize any structural enhancement options you have selected based on the Dorsey Family Home model you’ve chosen.

  5. At this time and prior to construction, you may request to meet with our Field Supervisor who will be happy to review all your structural selections and answer any questions.

  6. Once these structural enhancements have been selected Dorsey Family Homes applies for a permit to build your new home.

  7. Now you’re ready for selection of the finishes for your new home – everything from cabinets and countertops to flooring and plumbing fixtures, as well as many exciting audio-visual enhancements. You’ll meet with trained, knowledgeable customer service representatives from each of our suppliers to ensure your complete satisfaction.

  8. During the mechanical phase of construction you will be invited to participate in an electrical walk-through of your new home.

  9. Prior to the installation of your drywall you will be given a second opportunity to conduct another walk-through inspection of your home.

  10. Upon completion of your new home and prior to move in, you’ll meet with our Customer Service Representative for your final walk-through inspection to ensure you’re completely satisfied with your new Dorsey Family Home.

We guarantee your complete satisfaction with your new home. If it’s not right, we’ll make it right.

And finally, there’s full disclosure of information that ensures that your Dorsey Family Homes home-buying experience has been free of any discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin. That’s because at Dorsey Family Homes we do want our next, most exciting grand opening to be yours.
